LAPTAG stands for Los Angeles Physics Teachers Alliance Group. LAPTAG was created about a year ago so that Universities and Colleges could interact strongly with High Schools to further the educational process. The organization has about 60 members in 32 institutions. One of the issues approached was a way to involve high school students and their instructors in timely and exciting research projects. These projects will be designed to be open ended in the sense they could spawn others. The experiments will tie all of the institutions involved together and allow for strong, continual interaction among the participants. Grant proposals |
